    Honeymoon and Diving Caribbean?

My wife and I were in St. Lucia in late April and stayed at the Sandals Grande. We were with some other couples who have stayed at various Sandals resorts and they all said this was the nicest. Used the on site dive service, it is free when you stay there. The diving was O.K., but that's...

Do you hate BP/ wing arguments?

Although I usually don't respond to most post, check my history, this one intrigues me. First, I dive a Ranger and have never tried a BP/W set up. My thoughts are if someones on this board asking about a BC they probably know about BP/W. So quit beating the dead horse and answer the...

Russian destroyer 356 off Cayman Brac

Asked the question when I was there 3yrs ago. "Mainstreet" the long hall running down the length of the ship is considered a swim thru since you can see the other end. Just don't go into any of the side rooms. Was told similar info about wrecks when I was in the Keys a couple of weeks ago...

    ? for Suunto Computer Users

Not to beat a dead horse, but conservative still can get you bent if you push it. My wife and I each dive Vypers (no AI cobras). Two years ago in Cayman Brac dove 6 days for a total of ~22dives. By the end of the week was pushing deco on the last two dives. Was usually the first in and close...

    Blue Shift when diving nitrox

Not an eye doc, but do you have astigmatism (spelling may not be correct). This and/or contacts to correct this may produce these results. People with high power corrections on the eye glass sometime see this as do photographers with mpvarious lenses and camera combos (like almost all the new...

Do they serve coors light in Grand Cayman?

Why drink any LITE beer when your there? Hieniken, Guiness or most other import (for those from the US) are less expensive. Was there in Dec 02 and Bud was one of the most expensive beers to be found.

    Sharks and Grand Cayman

My wife and I dove the East End last December and got to see the sharks at the Maze, up close and personal. We were told they tend to hang out there in the afternoons because this used to be the site of the "shark education" dives a couple of years back and they just got used to the place...

Snorkle or dive Grand Caymans sting ray city?

I would definitely chose diving. Last Dec my wife and I dove with Ocean Frontiers and dove the Sandbar on one of their three tank dive trips. Had great interaction with the rays. My wife even got a sticgray hicky on her hand. Haven't read all the post, but there are also two very large...

    northwest baggage limits

It is posted on NWA.com as well. Charge is $25 for 50-70 and $50 for 70-100. Old was $89 for 70+. This charge is per bag and additive with there oversize penatly, which I think is $80. Also the say per flight. Not, sure if that is outbound and return or if it is for evey leg of each. Could...

Dive knife on a cruise ship?

Was on a cruise with msy wife and my family 3 years ago. They had a x-ray machine like the airports used for screening. My wife had a very small knife attached to her BC. Sent it thru the machine in a mesh dive bag. They saw something that got their attention (the knife). Asked what it was...

    Cayman Brac Beach Resort

Was nice. Hope everyone is a diver. Not much else to do. I thought the food was good. My wife, well she is a little picky and she said it was only o.k. However niether of us went hungry. As for the diving, ReefDivers is incredible. Once you set up you gear that it. Except for...

Why do computers rot the brain?

If computers "rot your brain", lets look at the tables. Seems to me if you use tables then your just a slacker also. A "real" diver would do all the calculations by hand (no computer software, calculator, slide rule, etc.) based on another person's formulas. Now, do you trust your own math...
