MY 2005 DIVING STATS

Number of Dives: 134

Total Bottom Time: alot

Maximum Depth: 212fsw

Coldest Water Dived: 36 F

Warmest Water Diver: 82 F

Dive Location Farthest From My Home: Grand Cayman

2005 New Certification / Education: Instructor Trainer

Favorite Dive: Over The Wall, Andros Island

Least Favorite Dive: The one where my drysuit flooded.

New Equipment Purchased: Fenzy, Regulator

How I did on my 2005 Goals: Great, I shot more video this year than in 2004 with 90% of it "rock steady". Also, took lessons with Cathy Church and my abilities have greatly improved!

Dive Goals for 2006: Take more pictures with my nikonos and more video with my sony. Show more divers how to enjoy diving without those back-breaking tanks and without being over weighted!

Number of Dives: 40

Total Bottom Time: 16.5 hours

Maximum Depth: 91 feet

Coldest Water Dived: 47F (and I was in a wetsuit! brrrr!)

Warmest Water Diver: 55F

Dive Location Farthest From My Home: Channel Islands

2005 New Certification / Education: Advanced Open Water (started in Dec 2005 but still have a couple more dives to do weather and schedules permitting)

Favorite Dive: Point Lobos any time

Least Favorite Dive: zero vis :)

New Equipment Purchased: slates and tank lights

How I did on my 2005 Goals: Didn't get as much diving in as I would have liked, but schedules and weather are not always kind

Dive Goals for 2006: Cayman Islands trip. Already signed up for group trip to Cayman Brac in August, and will add on some days on Grand Cayman as soon as we beg/borrow/steal the money. :)

Also want to dive Catalina, but not sure we will be able to find the money for that.

Dive Point Lobos once a month.

Take rescue class if the doc clears me to do so (have spine issues and am a gimp). Realize I probably won't be able to do everything to pass it, but a friend recommended I try it and do what I can as it will help improve self rescue skills as well as identification of potential problems.

Warmest Water Diver: 82 degrees

Dive Location Farthest From My Home: Dominica and Tortola

2005 New Certification / Education: OW (September), Boat Diving Specialty, Stress and Rescue

Favorite Dive: Every darn one of them! OK, OK. If I had to choose... the Rhone, in Tortola

Least Favorite Dive: My dive to 88 feet...got narced, I think...ran low on air...not such a fun dive.

New Equipment Purchased: All of it. Harvey's wetsuit, ScubaPro KnightHawk BC, fins, etc. (Just in 2006, purchased SmartCom and Reg)

How I did on my 2005 Goals: Great. I got certified, and was able to get 36 dives in three and a half months. A good run, I think.

Dive Goals for 2006: Get Advanced OW, and maybe DiveCon. Get in at least 125 dives, with some of them being warm water. Dive with sharks. Use less air each dive. Get better at critter ID. Return safely from each dive. Spot my first Wolfy. Try to dive enough to feed the addiction, but not so much that my wife wonders if I love the water more than I love her. (OK, truthfully, on that last one, she may already wonder. I keep telling her there are worse things I could be doing...)
