I have 2 SPG's and two Wreless Integrated

Neither AI failed
1 SPG hose failed (Before Dive)

I see several talking about loosing link.
In my mind loosing link for a few seconds is not a failure.
Failure is failure. Temporary loss of signal due to hand placement is error.
I loose my signal on the ATOM occationally when I fold my arms under me.
My wfe looses her sig as well in this possition.

I have the Aeris Elite and have never lost the link (knock wood).
That simply isn't possible. It lost link, you just didn't notice it in time before it linked back up.

I agree. NObody gets upset until they see it but it happens all the time.

VTPro wireless......... It lost sync from time to time. More frequently when diving around metal; i.e. a wreck, but I wouldn't call that a failure.

It never failed to regain sync.

I agree. Not a failure. Just a very minor issue that really doesn't effect reliability or its ability to do its job. It bothered me a little at first but now it doesn't. It always comes back.

Tamas:
What sort of failure are you looking for? Catastrophic? Or just a lost link?

I also dive with the Atom and have had no problems with it so far, yes a few times it has lost the link for a second or two, but that is it. (but that can be said for any wireless AI transmitter).

What sort of problems are you having with yours?

Tamas, I was looking for a permanent failure during a dive not a lost link. I am not having any problems with mine. I am using both - wireless AI and standard SPG and was thinking of doing away with the SPG. But I wanted to see a failure rate before I take a decision.

I understand what you are after, but if you included yes/no - we would also see the ratio of failures vs. the number of people reporting, which could be relevant.

Yes I realised that a little too late !!! Fact is I was using the poll feature for the first time and I goofed up three or four times. By that time I got pretty frustrated and did not consider your point. In fact El Orans helped to post the poll !!!

ramsabi:
Perrone I was interested to see incidence of number of failures and that is why I set it up as a multiple choice "Yes Only" poll.

Edit:
I will presume that a statistically significant number of people have seen the poll and only those who experienced failures have responded !!!!!!!!!

But unless you have a total number of respondents you can't analyze the data. You need something to compare the number of failures to.

I would have selected no had the option been there. Lost sync for a second or two, but no true failures of either.

Another poll?

Edit:
Also: Huh?

The Air integration system of my Wireless AI Computer has failed. 3 60.00%
My SPG has failed. 3 60.00%

Multiple Choice Poll. Voters: 5.

Looks like 6 votes, not 5, if it's 3-3. and how is that 60%?

Compudude, I think because it is multiple choice there is a disparity in votes and voters. That is, one person can choose both options. So the total votes for both options can exceed the total voters if there are voters who have chosen both options.
