Do you know how long it took me to find a name like that, that wasn't registered???

But I bet the research was tough!

Whoooo.

Parrrtyyy!:yea:

thats funny I lurked on that list for a few years and then sudenly stoped getting mail. I thought it had "gone under" or some thing.Ill have to re-suscribe:)

Is setup a mail filter that trashes there email upon recieving. You can do this by setting up a rule in outlook or a lot of webmail sites allow you to ignore or block email from certain domains.

Another idea: set up a free account at Hotmail or Yahoo, and anytime you're asked for an email address, use that one. All you have to do is periodically open the account (to keep it active) and mass-delete the emails.

This also works if you post to the Usenet- there must be an automated way for spammers to scan for email addresses. Use a decoy address and spare yourself the annoyance.

This thread reminded me of one of Dave Barry's funnies about spam: http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/living/columnists/dave_barry/3651015.htm

I have blocked them, but i am apparently in the forward list of a lot of there subsrcibers. So when they post i still get it, i have been blockning them individually for a week now and i still get a bunch everyday.

so blocking them as far i know is not possible.

Unfortuneatly its too late for that.

Hi all

I cant seem to get them to stop sending me that spamm. I dont feel the info i get from that list is worth a dam*. 95% of what i get is garbage.

I have asked them to unsubscribe me at least 8 times.

do i have the wrong email for them ? is this the correct link ?

techdiver@aquanaut.com

That is not the correct address to send unsubscribe notices. To unsubscribe from that mailing list, you need to send an email message to the address techdiver-request@aquanaut.com, with the Subject of 'unsubscribe' (with no quotes!).

Do not put anyting in the body of your email, just the subject 'unsubscribe' and send to the address I listed above. This will almost definitely get you off the list.

The only other thing I can think of if the above doesn't work is that you're subscribed as "joeblow@msn.com", yet your emails appear as "joeblow@mail.msn.com" when you send them. Not much you can do, except perhaps re-configure your email client so it sends emails with the same addy you're subscribed with.

Hope this helps!

Jimmie

Well i have done as the above link has mentioned 2 more times. I still get a ton of e mail everyday.

I have tried that address before and didnt help so i figured i was doing it wrong. Well the continuing e mails i get tells me its on there side, not mine. I have requsted to be removed exactly how you mentioned above at least 4 or 5 times now. I have tried alot more than that, but i think some i sent i didnt do correctly.

Andy

I have resorted to blocking each individuals e mail, but i still get 2-5 a day.

Dunno what to tell you. In the future never use your primary email for joining any type of online service. You will get unwanted email if you do.

Heres an Em ail i just got from , you tell me what the problem is:

My e mail to them had only unsubscribe in the subject, no text what so ever in the e mail body, just the subject bar at the top.

what the hell does this e mail mean
