no you can't. The over-compensating feature of the first stage causes WoB issues with unbalanced second stages. Since the upstream design of the Xstream/Jetstream causes them to have increased cracking pressure with higher IP, as you go down, the regs become harder to breathe. It's not particularly noticeable until about 100ft, but it's there.

for the record, this will be a very shallow dive. Max 30'-35' in a local shallow quarry......

I have a set of hogseidons I use for ice/river diving on my mini doubles.
sealed D1 first with xstream 2nds. Makes a great ice/river combo.

1 1/2 hours under in 33* water a few years back with Jim. Both of us on Hogs with the enviro seals. D1's and classic 2nds. My tanks were pumped to 3800+. So the natural refrigeration effect of HP to LP didn't affect them. The worst part was seeing who could shed gear the fastest when we exited!! We both liked a lot of coffee in the AM and the internal bladder pressure was painful! By the way, we drifted from the Casino Island, Islander area in A-Bay to the boat launch at Bonnie Castle.

......didn't see Pilot in your list. :)
