1. wrecks from 60-300feet :D
2. 15 minutes to the dock
3. 80-85 degree deco water ...gotta love that
 
1. environment (kelp forests, awesome inverts, harbor seals)
2. convenience (short drive from home, several options for banked nitrox)
3. community (baue, ucsc and the dive shops)
 
Only one site has sticks, Brother. And I have learned to avoid them. :D
Proactive Stress Management. Now that's a buddy I would dive with. Dive softly and carry a BIG Stick! :)

2. Wrecks. Boats, Vehicles, Cessna....oh and of course a toilet.
3. Because the lakes are alot closer than the ocean
 
What's up with folks sinking toilets at dive sites? We have several of those. Haven't these folks ever heard of a P-valve?

Just a side note, its a big lake and I can assure you, you have NOT seen it ALL.

California coast north of San Francisco.

1. Cheap, only involves driving a little over and hour to a few dive sites.
2. Conditions and environment make for challenging dives and makes a better diver out of you.
3. There's abalone.

Another three reasons:
1. I live 3 miles from the St Lawrence and it's wrecks
2. I help support the local LDS and economy ( beer or two after diving)
