I am not meant to have any camera equipment under water. I have flooded one camera.
Bought a cheaper reloadable camera which uses 35 mm film. I have learned I do not know how to properly load a 35 mm film camera. We moved along with the technology and have not looked back, until now:shocked2:

This will me our third attempt at getting uw pictures of colors this weekend for my daughters science project. It getting pretty cold for this. I hope we don't screw up again.:depressed:

We have been trying to get the different colors as different depths and we have failed at both so far. We think we got it and then nothing. Last time we took the film to get developed and when I went to pick it up they told me the film was empty.

They say the third time is a charm. :idk:

Here's my add:
After a surface interval with your wetsuit halfway off and wrapped at your waist, put it back up BEFORE getting geared up again. Doh! Didn't feel so bad when the divemaster said he's done that too though.

So spend a bit more and get a camera that is water proof from the beginning like the Olympus 8010 (good to 33fsw) and then put it in a housing. It's double protection. I did, and I am glad I did.

What really convinced me was a dive trip last year on a Live-a-Board. One of the divers lost their camera on the night dive: it fell out of the housing. We dove the same spot and FOUND the camera and it worked just fine! Yay! That was one heck of a "flood".

Thanks, did not know there was a thing. I killed the Sealife. I will have to look into this, as I am scary with technology. I use and go with the advancements, but that does not say much. I wonder if they make waterproof cell phones?:rofl3:

Netdoc:

Which housing are you using? I just did a search and looks like this camera could have been made for me and my family. As we are hard on things. But which housing?????

I am using the stock Olympus Housing.

There is a bag for cell phones that I will be reporting on after I try it. You remove all the air with a small vacuum bulb. Think of having your cell phone available if your boat is nowhere in sight. "Ugh, guys..." It sure beats a shell phone! :D

I was thinking of more on land, for when I drop it out of the car and do not realize it and can't find it and a norester comes through. I then had a liquid screen, until the water dried up. Or my daughter drops hers in the toilet because she did not remove it from her pockets. Or my husbands takes his on a water ride at a theme park. :shakehead:

Will you have service though out in the ocean? Depending obviously on where you are diving.
