This thread is such a good example of how different we all are. As the years go bye I realize that I don't even care to have non-diving friends, there is no way I would marry a non diver. Maybe the fact that diving is the only activity for me, lately I exercise rain or shine but I don't consider it a pleasure, I may be surprised of my progress but in my head it translates into better diving.
My husband was already a passionate diving before he met me, I can't imagine him with a non-diver either. I read about taking separate vacations, hmmm that would not work for us. Maybe because we travel for work already, or just the fact that pretty much everything about the way we've set out our life is diving related. It would be impossible to justify the amount or resources (time and money) I use for diving.
My concern now is about potential daughters in law, with 2 adult sons I worry they may end up with partners that may not care to let my grandkids be water children, that will be a difficult issue, only time will tell.
