Hopefully I will be back in the Middle East for a couple of weeks each month again next year so I have a project mapped out to create a GPS referenced photo-mosaic of a 3,000 year old harbour site which sunk following an earthquake in about 1,000 BC. The local association of diving centres has agreed to help out, and the current chair person is keen to take part. It lies between 1 to 100 metres off shore and has a maximum depth of 7-8 metres so will allow long dives.

Other than that I have booked on a surface supplied diving and full face mask/integrated communications course at the end of January (in the UK) and then need to seriously think about whether I complete a professional HSE diving qualification later in 2014. Not sure about that one yet as it is a lot of money for a hobby, but might open some opportunities for me.

Other than that I want to get a lot more UK sea dives done and really want to get to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. - Phil.

Headed to Saba the second week of March with hubby and our dive buddies from CT. Cozumel in June or July for a week or two. Couple of trips to Florida....hopefully Jupiter (with Emerald Charters---Randy is awesome!) and Key Largo (if the weather cooperates this time!). Probably do some serious house-hunting in FL....time to get out of AZ and move closer to great diving.

Bonne Terre Mine in February or March
A bunch of 40-60 ft wreck dives in the area

Big trips to make:
Anna C. Minch / Novadoc sometime in the summer, utilizing vintage gear
Thunder Bay Preserve (Monrovia, Grecian, E.B. Allen on day 1 maybe?)

Mainly though, finish getting my beat up dive boat ready for next season:

The outboard I picked up for it needs a lower unit rebuild, new ignition wires, and a new ignition switchbox.

Have you been on the Monrovia before? She's a goal of mine on my way to learning to go deeper. So far weather has not cooperated. Do you know if there is a sub surface buoy to moor to? Been on the Grecian, and EB Allen. Both Fantastic dives.

No idea! I've never been to Thunder Bay before. I did my PADI RecTec classes last year, so I'm looking to make use of them for 2014.

The Monrovia looked like a good low-stress tech dive. ~20-30 min of bottom time with ~20-30 min of deco.

I figured I could then do the Grecian and the E.B. Allen on 32% within NDC limits.

My club is going to Coz or Grand Cayman and I plan to go with them. Locally I have a river dive along some cliffs I want to do, diving a number of shore sites in Lake George, Rogers Rock Invitational (of course), Brant Lake milfoil remediation, And any clear lake within reasonable driving distance. I'm going to try to dive somewhere here once a week.

Health permitting, I am looking forward to local diving this year ( I could do none last season) so that means about 4 or 5 weekends of training at a local reservoir where I usually can get 6 dives in per weekend, sometimes more. Also health permitting, a guys long weekend in the Florida Keys is in the cards, and then we'll see. Perhaps a fall trip to the Caribbean???

- Take my MOD 2 class.
- Spend some time on deeper wrecks in the Great Lakes
- Plan for the tentative 2015 trip to Bikini

I'm looking forward to getting my new used inflatable in the water and hitting some of the great dive sites here in RI like, Beavertail, Horse Head, the Pinnacles off Narragansett, Whale Rock, Castle Hill, Gooseberry Island the natural aches......the list goes on. There are more places than I have time to dive in one summer. These are all places I've dived, some long ago. It'll be interesting to see the changes.

Sure would like to hit NC again, this time on a good week!

KD8NPB, EAN 32 is exactly what I use on both EB Allen and Grecian. Both are buoyed at the surface, EB Allen from the bow and Grecian both bow and stern. Depending on how much swimming you want to do, the stern buoy on Grecian has more to see. My understanding on Monrovia is she's 130ft to the bottom of the lake 100ft to the superstructure. But there's no surface buoy so if your running your own boat a decent gps and fish finder are a must. She's also 26 miles out from Thunder Bay in the shippng lanes. Or contact Joe at ThunderBay Scuba. joe@tbscuba.com to arrange a charter.

January rebreather training in Florida.
February to May as much time on the rebreather as I can get, the sooner I can get it off the NC coast, the better!
May 3-10 Bonaire
May to September as much ocean diving ask can do. I'd love to hit the Oriskanybif possible.
September is Cayman Brac.

I want to finish instructor training. Then start tech training.

At some point I want to help my wife get her AOW.

Should be be a fun year!!!
