Is there only a tolerance problem with that one part?We had been working with the factory on why it was happening and at DEMA they let us know that somehow the CNC shop that makes the part for them had been using a old program file from a few years ago that was wrong by mistake when they programmed the CNC machine to cut the part.

Having recently bought some Deep 6 regs myself (including DIN first stage) and not being able to test them until January, I've been nervously watching that thread.
Regardless of whether another brand would have been more or less responsive, you can't deny that to an outsider the actual sequence of events objectively appears reactive rather than proactive: Deep 6 is notified of defects at DEMA > they sell and ship more regs anyway, with no asterisk > customer having trouble with reg posts in forum > some hearsay about the factory issue is posted by another customer > Deep 6 finally publicly acknowledges it.
Even if it's not a major issue and it's fixable, I have to admit that I'm disappointed that I was sold something that was already secretly known to be defective. I do acknowledge that Chris is now trying to make things right. What originally sold me on Deep 6 was their philosophy, and I appreciate what they say they are trying to do, so I'm not necessarily ready to write off the whole brand yet because of this hiccup.

actually.. I left out the part where we also redesigned it so both 111 and 112 O-rings will fit and made it so we will a better than the rest method of holding the O-ring... I'm actually pretty happy with it and the very short timeframe we managed it. Engineered, samples made, tested (on a wide variety of different manufs DIN tank valves), mass machined, chromed then PVD and here in a little bit over a month...Proactive? Sure. The o-rings fall out of almost every DIN reg. It took a lot of research to figure out that it was indeed a manufacturer issue, as opposed to a user or o-ring issue. Thanks to Chris.

let's go easy on him eh? I'm a new brand and he took a chance in his mind. I get that.WOW bud..... 0-25 dives, and less than a year certified......
I'd say you need to better understand your equipment, the industry, and your training a bit more before such a post.....
