@signal18,

Have you ever thought of just going with a BP/W so you don't have to deal with these issues and have a configuration that is adaptable to different exposure protection?

A lot cheaper too. A lot cheaper.

I know a lot of people will groan at this suggestion, but it certainly needs to be said.

Hahaha, I can't say I didn't see this coming at some point :D (this really needs to be a can o' worms emoji).
I'm not opposed to the idea, just something I need to research more.

All good points, and this is exactly what I'm trying to work through here. I did try the small on with my 3mm (ok, it's probably closer to a 2mm at this point...), and honestly I didn't notice a major difference from the 7mm, which was unexpected.

I am not sure that I understand you, are you saying that you tried the bc with your 7mm and 3mm and they fit fine in size small or did you mean something else?

..and here the chest strap is in the bottom-most position, and the tail seems about the same.
For me this position is more comfortable than the strap higher on my chest closer to my neck.

Yes, that's pretty much it-- mainly that changing from a 7mm to 3 didn't have a noticeable effect on the fit of the BC.

Did you try an M size to compare to a S size just to be sure?

@signal18

one thing I recommend considering and I should have said it earlier. Are the straps/buckles strong enough to pick up any bcd loaded with a steel cylinder and weights (could have integrated weights and/or trim pockets on the cylinder straps, you get the idea).

If yes, then great! If no, then... not so great.

You forgot the Al Baik chicken.
No because Greeks don’t claim inventing that. It is funny to see Greeks (I am half Greek) and Turks argue over coffee and other dishes that all have Arab origin.

Yes, it can including 18L steel tanks no issues.

With all of this talk about food, I am officially very hungry now. I am going to go make some backed chicken with spicy Libyan sauce.

(Spicy Libyan sauce, something neither Turks or Greeks can handle).
