    Offended??????

Mandy, it IS true it IS a proven fact. You are also right in that commercial fishermen's nets don't discriminate in what they catch. But that is not what I was talking about. I was saying (please re-read my post) that taking big fish and leaving the small ones is the exact opposite of what is...

    Offended??????

Mandy3206 you said: Unfortunatley Mandy you are 100% wrong about that. Serious fishermen will tell you that the little fish ARE the ones that you keep for two very important reasons. 1) The smaller fish have much lower levels of toxins in them then bigger fish do. If you are in an area...

    Will it ever stop raining????

There is no real measurement to a cubit. It is a measurement that was used when King Solomon's temple was being built, and the Ark as well. The only reason that I know that is because there is a section of the Masonic ritual that uses the term "cubit".

    Aiieee!!! ScubaDiving mag discovers women!

You are completely mistaken, one hundred and twenty per cent mistaken. I understand completely about how women can feel like they are completely being overrun in an admittedly male dominated sport. You are indeed entitled to your opinion, and I will never berate someone for speaking what is...

    Carbon Fiber tanks

 I am already kinda nervous about having a 3000+ psi bomb(potentially) strapped to my back. What about other materials? Titanium, really strong, probably expensive as hell. There are other metals out there as well. What about some kind of alloy?

    Offended??????

I would only be offended if they shot all those fish and allowed them to go to waste. Basically if you eat what is in season, and what you can catch, go for it!

    First BC Advice wanted

Back plate and wing is the way to go. Why buy a jacket style now, and a bp/w setup later on? Start with a single tank setup and a smaller wing at first, and then as noted above, all you really need to do is get a larger wing and some additional hardware for the backplate. Now the next...

    Carbon Fiber tanks

Hi all, Has anyone out there used carbon fiber tanks for a SCUBA application? If you have used them, how did they work? If not, why not? I understand that they have some advantages(really lightweight), but also some serious drawbacks as well(large bouyancy swing). Any thoughts?

    Cobaltbabe made me do this.....

Keith Richards cannot be killed by mortal means.... A nuclear war would occur, and Keith Richards is sitting next to a group of cockroaches. Keith turns to one of the roaches and says, "I smoked your uncle do you know that? F*****n crazy...."

    Aiieee!!! ScubaDiving mag discovers women!

<deep sigh>why is it that someone has to take offence to any little thing that someone publishes? No one meant anything at all by it, just leave it for what it is....

    Legends....

Hello all, It has been some time since I posted here, I been doing a lot of lurking. Got a question that I hope will stir up some debate. What makes a legend a legend? Here is what I am talking about... Sheck Exley is considered a legend at least in the cave diving world. People...

    Aiieee!!! ScubaDiving mag discovers women!

All, I really think that you are reading too much into the article. It is a biological fact that women are a different shape, and what they are saying IMHO is that perhaps it is time that gear be sized accordingly. I cannot see how it matters for stuff like fins and snorkels. For gear like...

Let me join the others in offering my condolences and prayers. I would think that your friend would not want you to mourn her passing...but to celebrate her life!!!!
