i read in a magazine that says, is better to be overweighted. and if you go down slowly in a Pool, i suggest you wear at least a weight to be safe in open water. sometimes, stronger current you can't stay too on surface. :dazzler1:

it depends, if u plan to calculate with the wheel and plan...u can forget the comp. but human error is more often than comp error. these days, comp are getting cheaper. why not invest in one to safe a couple of headache calculating and such. i use suunto stinger. is never off my wrist...work...

strap fins with booties. booties at least protect you from corals.

would suggest you log a few dives and comfortable before you do AOW. many new divers rush this. roughly 20 - 30 dives before u proceed to AOW
