Hello gang, Ive been searching the web for a c-5050 camera and housing and I have reviewed every post in this fine web site on a olympus c-5050. the best price I can find for a new camera is at beach camera for 439.00 with 20 bucks for shipping. The housing I found at the Sams club site for 141.24 with 6.38 shipping (membership store) these prices seem perfectly acceptable but before I order them I need some advice. The camera comes with a 32MB xd card, I have read that buying a 256MB CF card and using it with the 32MB xd card is a good start or should I get the 256xd Oly card and then get some 256MB cars later? I guess one nice feature of the camera is the additional card ports but I really dont know anything about these products.
I will be waiting on a strobe, I will purchase a Inon D-180at a later date, so to begin with I will be doing macro photo shots (which I think are the most fascinating anyway) I read that a good place to start is to buy a wide angle lens and the Inon rather than UN is the WAL of choice. The best price on this item I found was at UWdigital. the Inon uwl-105ad for what looks like 210.00 plus shipping. The Inon ufl-165ad looks pricey but if If I get the wrong one first trying to save money will just cost more in the long run. I really not sure on which lens to buy. I know its a highly subjective and peoples opinion will be different but any advice will help. One last question, is there a WAL that can be used in land mode? or do they all require a adaptor to fit the UN PT-015 housing, Thanks!
