Well now ...lets see. I recall not defending or promoting a BP/W. But rather offer a very educated response to a rather moot point. To a rather argumentative post to which you have willing started.

SO having said that. My point remains. If you or anyone else does not have experience with - in this case and back plate a wing vs a BC. An argument is fruitless, so is ones opinion to that discussion. If one has never tried either piece of dive gear. How can one offer up an experience of it? or advice on it.

So yes, you are welcome if I have added to your point of view. It is educational at best. Somewhat humorous aswell.

My post was designed to draw attention to the fact that some people who love the BP/W setup have a tendency to not read a post, rather, they respond by promoting or defending BP/W regardless of what was asked.

scarefaceDM and ONESPEED, you both made my point for me, brilliantly.

I just noticed it's ScubaSteves birthday today.

Happy Birthday ScubaSteve!

:hb2:

BC's are one thing, but the Atomic M-1 is clearly the best regulator on the market.

By diving a BPW, you'll see the world through rose colored glasses. The sky will be bluer, the grass will be greener. You'll hear waves crashing on the beach and be able to smell the ocean. Young children will follow you around capering at your feet and grown women will rip their blouse open and thrust their bosoms towards you as you pass by. Birds will sing sweeter, dogs will quit chasing cats, global warming will end you wont die, ever.:D

Darn it. My BP/W must be broken.

After reading this I am starting to wonder if maybe you just throw your BP/W on and go for a walk.......you are aware the wing can be used under water right?

Bah, who needs a wing. I've got a drysuit for buoyancy control.

Oh, and it will also cure that inner ear problem too. :D

OK, I am sold! What should I wear besides a BP/W? Wetsuit, drysuit, or birthday suit?

I have seen some folks offer BP/W as a solution or recomendation on topics that may not be directly related, but usually when it is sugested it is because the poster sees the BP/W as a solution for whatever the problem is.

To the OP, while I understand your frustration, a better solution than a thread like this that is going to piss off alot of BP/W users that don't do what you are describing is to call out the guys that do. "Dude, what the f#$K does getting a backplate have to do with fin straps" or something to that effect.

Besides, anyone who knows anything about diving knows the long primary hose is what fixes all the problems.

Speedo is the only appropriate attire.
