Mammoth Lake, 3 Apr - 61 degree water temp, viz variable from less to a foot to 10+ feet in a few places, most of the time somewhere in between.

Blue Lagoon, Huntsville TX - April 19th 2015 - 10 ft visibility, surface 71, bottom 68.

22 mile offshore rig from Freeport TX Sunday 19 April 2015

2 foot seas, moderate surface current 0-15 feet, mild current below 15 feet. Visibility between 0-70 foot depths was 20 feet, 70-90 10 feet. Visibility was unusually low for this area, perhaps due to the many days of rain preceding the trip.

Surface 74 degrees, at depth feet 65 degrees. 5 mm needed.

3 foot red snapper along with the usual other fish including barracuda, ling.

Temp: same
Vis: 60'+
Spring Flow: 172cfs

The lake looks fantastic. Spring flow is high enough to move most of the material downstream and the site you are working clears rapidly.

Blue Lagoon, Huntsville TX - Lagoon #2
April 25th 2015 - 21 ft visibility, Thermocline @ 17 foot, bottom temp, bottom 73 - never seen so many fish and algae hair balls there before

April 26th 2015 - 10 ft visibility, Thermocline @ 17 foot, bottom temp, bottom 75 - algae bloom or something all the hair balls must have dispersed into the water column

Blue Hole, San Gabriel River, Georgetown, TX - 04/25/2015
10 to 12 ft visibility. Max depth - 12 ft.
Lots of fish, primarily black bass. Several large catfish (over 2 ft). Several very large turtles. Ran across a water moccasin in very shallow water (3 ft) on south bank. Note to self, avoid the shallow water. Luckily I saw him resting on the bottom before he saw me.

Stillhouse Hollow Lake, 04/29/2015 (late afternoon)
Temp - Sorry, don't have the info but was wearing a 3 mil suit and was very comfortable.
Max depth - 25 ft. Visibility - 20 ft+

Entered on marina side of peninsula and dropped down to 25 ft. Followed incline around peninsula to scuba park side. Went through the trench on the way. Checked out the sunken boat near the old power plant. The boat is now at 17 ft. The buoy which used to be tied off of the platform is now tied off the boat. On the way back to the platform from the boat, spotted the largest freshwater fish I have ever seen. It was a pacu and was easily four ft. in length. Lots of fish activity. Plenty of black bass. Completed dive swimming to pavilion. Excellent dive!

Mammoth Lake, 23 May
7-10' viz
Water temp was upper 70's on the surface, dropping down to a brisk 68 below 25'.

Lake levels are definitely coming up. Several of the buoys are below the surface now.

288 Lake, May 25th

Perch are breeding so no worries about them coming up to bite.
