I was just about to start a thread about the DGX stage regs.

Answered already. I think Ill be trying 2 of them. Have an extra DR xt2, and Hog classic, 2nd stages.

Someone posted recently that their slung and deco bottles are unbalanced.

That DR deco reg IS their argon reg. I always thought it was depth limited due to orifice size, not because it is unbalanced. I used one down to about 100' as an o2 reg on a SM CCR. Worked fine, but you don't need much flow in that situation.

To the OP, I have a few of those older DR first stages, I love them. I pull all the o-rings off the port plugs, put the port plugs back in, and use them as tank drainers! Although if you pair them with a newer second stage, they are probably fine. The second stages that came with them were horrible though.
