I have no complaints about my compressed neoprene gloves regarding, comfort or dexterity, they are extremely warm, and I can unbolt my snaps and re-attach them to the D-ring. Diving over and over with the same gear has enhanced my training.

However, the real problem is the surface interval, I cannot snack, or change out my tanks as easy, it can be done, but when you have a bunch of drysuit divers using their hands on board, I get smurf envy and want to become a smurf. :D

If the gloves are comfortable and offer dexterity and warmth in the water, I find very little reason that you should change your gloves.

Apply the cost of new gloves and ring to the Fundies or Essentials course and it'll be money better spent.

Since you have front zip and no wrist seals, taking off the top of your drysuit isn't that significant of a task.

It just kinda of sucks when you see scuba stuff sitting in your dive bag not getting used, makes you wonder why did I purchase that in the first place.

I don't want to see my gorilla mittens find there way to this unused pile...

If your little pony bottle is in the pile, convert it to surface argon for all your dive buddies

The only way to reduce collecting unused gear is to listen to advice and try different set-ups. Even then it's not full proof as a lot of us fall easily into gear lust.

When I had a more stressful day job, there have been a few times where I clicked "Add to Cart" cause I wanted something, but not necessarily needed it.

But since I own both I can attest that the orange ones are a lot more flexible and a lot easier to pull all the way down so there isn't extra material at the fingertips. That's why I prefer them.

I now only keep the blue ones ... mounted on rings ... in my drybag in case I flood a glove and want a dry one for the next dive.

Elissa uses the orange ones for flexibility as well.

Initially we were concerned that the thinner PVC coating would be less wear tolerant. However, we've replaced the blue and orange ones with the same frequency.

In our diving in MoCal, there's very little that we need to grab hold of that will cut gloves.

I wear blue ones cause they seem to strike more fear in the heart of students

Actually, I find the blue ones easier to signal with.

White ones are the easiest to signal with ... unfortunately, to a wolf eel they look like lunch ... :shocked2:

...and to a person they look like a mime, or jazz hands! :D

... or Mickey Mouse in a drysuit ...

Better than wearing Force Fins and looking like Donald Duck.

The LDS here in the Bay Aread are having a really nice 15% sale on tons of scuba items, and yes the SI Tech gloves are part of the sale...

I'm torn between picking them up for the sale or just continuing mastering my gorilla mittens, damn I really hate this sport... :)

Why can't this be as easy as when my stomach growls I feed it, no questions asked, this is too hard, decisions...

Do I ask her to dance or do I continue drinking at the bar? Help!!!

15% sales are nothing special.

Unless she has a boyfriend (poor planning on your part), it's better to ask the girl to dance (get dive experience) than to continue drinking at the bar (upgrading dive gear).

You know you're going to buy them eventually anyway, so why not now?
