If a person already did, should they trash them? Can that person get anything for them as scrap? Asking for a friend.

Aww play nice guys! I want some too.

A new reg becomes a used reg it's first use.

For ease of servicing, it's often easier to buy a popular reg for your region.

If you're new, find an old dive buddy and bring them along to look over the gear before you buy it.

Just like your first used car... But 1000x less complex.

Enjoy,
Cameron

Yes.. The best thing to do is send them to one of us old farts in the DIY forum and we'll see that no one is hurt with it

My first reg was a used Heathways that my instructor and I went through. I have always believed that if you buy used, rebuild it before you splash with it. So, if you can't do it, find out how much it's going to cost you before you buy. Of course, that might not include new hoses and such, so be prepared for that estimate to climb a bit. Now compare that cost to a new reg.

The fact is.. Most used scuba gear has less then 20 dives before it put in the closet for 10 years.. The big question is how much cleaning was done before it was put away.. I always dump the hose 99% of the time.. I had a hose that looked brand new blow at the crimp... A few dollars for peice of mind. Scuba diving id not cheap..

Jim..

Yes, that is the Scubatec I am talking about (spelt without h at least in Italy).

The company is in Garbagnate Milanese. Most Italian manufacturers (Cressi, Mares, etc.) are based in Liguria close to the village of Rapallo and to the sea as far as I know. Why these guys started scuba equipment manufacturing in the farms right out of Milan is a mystery to me
