I think this is it for me. I really don't like having attention drawn to me--never have. I have never worn seriously stylish clothing. As a young child I was so camera-shy that some of the family picture episodes are still talked about in my family. If I get on a boat filled with people in all black gear, I don't want to be the one that is different. Some of my gear now has red trimming. I don't like it, but I didn't have a choice--that's the way it comes.I think the reason is that most people don't want to stick out
It's less of an advantage when you are wearing that gear because of the water temperature but the air temperature is pushing 100°.One thing about black. When diving cold water - 54°F at the 1st thermocline & 43°F at the second - it's sure nice when you get back into the sun and warm up.
