Good point.

Is a processed ham-sandwich ok to bring in, or would I be confiscated?

It probably will be taken from you; the dogs will find it.

Whoops, I probably should have done this: Is a "processed" ham-sandwich ok to bring in, or would I be confiscated?
Well maybe "being processed" is more accurate ...

"Images of any kind that represent children in a denigrating or ridiculous way?

Wow, irony deems a bit lost by our neighbors to the South. I lived for a time in Mexico and I can assure you that the denigration of children and, for that matter, the drunken kicking of stray dogs, is second only to soccer, as a national pastime . . .

Anyone remember the "old days" in Coz.....when they just spun the roulette wheel and if you got "green" they just passed you through but if you got "red" it was a full colonoscopy!

Yet they found my wife's little apple that was sitting in her backpack :rofl3:

I wonder if they're trained for food but not drugs
I have a similar story at a US agricultural inspection station departing the Bahamas.I had an apple in my backpack that I was planning to eat in the departure lounge. That “seemingly minor“ infraction (and my heated discussion with the over-zealous inspector) flagged me for additional scrutiny for months every time I re-entered the US. I finally cleared the matter by writing a letter complaining of unfair harassment.

Now you know. They sell vapes and food in Cozumel.
Have you seen the price of cheese at Mega or Chedraui? And that's not even good cheese.
And if you've never had a kebab roll from Kebabish in Jackson Heights, you've missed out on a taste of heaven.
