Hi everybody, I have a question for anyone that has done the Belize Aggressor recently. We are interested in taking our iPod & connecting to the stereo in the salon. According to Aggressor there are jacks to plug into. Has anyone done this? Would we be better off taking an FM transmitter...

Hi Barracuda! it's been a while. from what I'm hearing from friends in the Playa del Carmen area (& further south) the beaches are better than ever. saw a picture on another board & the beach is much larger than when Geoff & I were there in April. you should be fine for a winter trip...

we have friends that dive with Yucatek every time they're in Playa (at least once a yr). they're very reputable. their main shop in located on 5th Ave, but they do meet at the beach...near the Playa Maya Hotel...to board the boat. all of the above mentioned (& many more) operators have...

I had lasik surgury done several years ago (pre-diving days), & now need to have an enhancement done. how long do I have to wait to dive after this is done? I've heard anywhere from 45-60 days. my doctor is not a diver & really couldn't answer my question. Thanks!!!!

I also have a Samsonite wheeled duffle bag that works great as a dive bag. I use an Armor backpack (w/ wheels) to carry my regulator & mask. I was also able to carry a bathing suit & pareo, sunscreen, a bottle of liquor (1ltr) & 2 cartons of cigarettes with room to spare.

we received an e-mail from our friend in Playa del Carmen last night. as of yesterday (Monday) afternoon it was pretty mild over there...some rain & wind. the electricity keeps going out. he didn't say anything about the ferry being closed.

I did Dos Ojos this past spring with only 30 dives logged. I was apprehensive about going as I REALLY don't like overhead environments (something I'm trying to get over...slowly). it was great! the 1st dive was not as confining as I had imagined & we had plenty of ambient light. the 2nd dive...

In Playa del Carmen...check out www.phantomdivers.com. we dove with them this past spring & had a blast. they use '6-packs' & we never had more than 6 divers (& DM) on the boat. VERY safety conscience & let you dive to your abilities.

Hi all! a few years ago we stumbled upon a little pub a few blocks off the square. it was apparently owned by an expat from the UK. do any of you know if it's still there, where it is exactly (we were taste testing a little too much), & what is it called? any help is greatly appreciated...

never dove with Sealife, but they seem to have a good reputation. go to a few shops when you get there (incl sealife) & talk to them. ask questions. see who you feel the most comfortable with & dive with them. we dove with Phantom Divers & would recommend them highly. I dove the cenotes...

the more I hear about Aqua World & their "customer service", the more worried I get. I would be curious to know how many incidents/accidents they've had. it seems to me that they take advantage of a newbie's inexperience to make a buck...& so what if you get hurt.
