Reg Technicians - What do you set the cracking effort to?

got my 0-3 magnehelic off ebay also, and you just need to reverce the fittings if you need the -3 to 0. most regs should be around 1-1.5 you can hyper adjust them lower, but you may find that you may have problems inverted or in current or such. of course when you do your own, you can tweek...

How should fins fit? Specifically, how deep into the foot pocket should my boot fit?

go for the XL, your fin should be an extention of your foot. and there is nothing that will bring on the cramps faster that using your toes to swim with. also looks like that was with a wet suit boot, and so if you ever dive with a dry suit or go to a beefy type boot you will need the room.

One more reason to do a safety stop!

yep, one thing you learn up here in the Pacific NW is to slow down and look around. a few days ago, was on a night dive and coming back up from around 80ft at around 30, a big brown flash went by. this was in about 4 ft of vis, so you did not see much as the area was stirred up pretty bad at...

    spring straps

my TUSA expert zooms, and love them, went on without to much trouble and seem to stay on well. They just replace the clips with stainless steel ones with the springs on them ready to go. much easier than putting them on my SP jet fins.....

    Bottles

i love old bottles, but it is getting harder to find them. in your area research where there used to be taverns on the shore of your diving area, like the river shore or lake shore and that is where to start diving, try after something major happens with the weather, like a storm or such, as it...
