There are a LOT of high quality scuba regulators to choose from, but some brands and models see a repair room more than others.
You don't have to purchase the highest priced model but don't buy the entry level model.
And don't buy generic!
So, select a name brand model with a good reputation, that is environmentally sealed, and maintain it properly.
That means do NOT over soap it, don't soak full submerged, don't expose it to chlorine pool water without rinsing with fresh water, and keep a fresh mouthpieces on it.
And above all, don't drown your regulator.! Keep the water on the outside!
