at the risk of making a complete and utter fool of myself: What does the abbreviation LDS stand for? I'm dutch, and haven't been able to figure it out yet... Local Dive School ? Misspelling of LSD? Must have something to do with diving

LDS stands for Local Dive Shop, popper.
I am Dutch too, lived and dived in the US for many years.

It can also mean Lying Damned Scumsucker, if you're unfortunate to find a dive shop owned by the wrong person. This one I used to go to comes to mind...

I still owe that guy a serious beating if I ever find him again. Fortunately I now have an excellent shop to take my business to.
