    Advice on Belize in October

If you are in Belize you owe it to yourself to go and see Tikal in Guatemala. There are several tours that will take you to the park and back from Belize city. The only time your feet touch the ground in Guatemala is in the Tikal park which is fourty miles from anything and safe. The entrance is on...

Am I being neurotic or should I worry?

I don't think there is anything east of I 85 over two or three hundred feet above sea level. Mt Mitchell isn't but 6684 ft and it is the highest point east of the Mississippi. Nothing to worry about.Enjoy the diving, temps and vis have been great this year out of morehead city. Tom

Veo 200 vs. Uwatec Aladin Pro?

Veo 200 has nice large numbers, relatively easy to understand and use,and the light works well.I don't regret getting mine for a second. You ought to be able to get your LDS down around $300.00. Good idea to get at least the same brand as your husband.Easy to set for nitrox to. Tom

    LDS vs. WEB

My LDS asks us to come in,try stuff on and shop,go home and check out on line prices but give them a chance to get to make a sale before we send a check off out of state. There is a no questions asked 60 day return policy on equipment and at least a 2 year warranty on everything they sell.If I...

Thank you for the links. Are the U 701 and the U 85 close enough that they could both be done the same day? Do you have any idea what the temp is on the bottom late June or Early July? I know that last year it did not seem to get warm until Aug but I hope this year it won't wait so long...

Oceanic Versus Pro vs. veo 200

Last summer I bought A Veo 200 because of the LARGE display,Nitrox compatible and audible alarms. All of my dives have been 100 plus feet on NC wrecks and I am happy as can be with it.It turns out I do not really need the audible alarm but for the money,$300.00 on sale at my LDS I am happy with...

    What kind of certification needed?

No,none of the boats I know of require Wreck certification. They would like for you to have done an ocean dive over 80 ft in the last year but I would suggest that you give them a call.Discovery Divers in Beaufort Olympus or Diver Down in Morehead City are all helpful and have regular trips...
