Anyone know of any scrounge diving in the Haliburton area? one of my friends has a cottage up there so id love to get in a few dives if i ever go there
most substances get denser as temperature decreases... but since water forms a lattice structure when it freezes, it actually is less dense(thus it floats in liquid water) but im really not sure how temperature effects water as it cools before it freezes.
the only way you're really going to find out what you like best is to try the ones you're interested in. any opinion you get on here is going to be just that - an opinion. In my opinion, i'm sure you'd be satisfied with any of those regs because i know several people who dive them and they all...
how do they light a thunderflash underwater? i've used hundreds of them, and one thing im quite sure of is that its impossible to get one to light when they're wet(since you have to strike the fuse like a match). they also fall apart when they're wet.
if you get your nitrox cert, id recommend a nitrox capable dive comp too. standard mixes of nitrox - nitrox 1 (32%) and nitrox 2 (36%) - have dive tables available, but i find when i travel the only mix usually available is 34%...

then again...they just might not believe the picture. you better get the real thing

Welcome to Scubaboard Raj....
But im not sure what you mean exactly... In terms of your mask squeeze problems, you have to remember to equalize the air space in your mask by exhaling just a touch through your nose as you descend. This should fix any discomfort you've been experiencing...
I think if I sat down and looked around I'd have a tough time finding a BCD and REG that cost $2500 AUS. You better not look at anything less than top of the line if you wanna blow $2500
Well the dive community is always looking for ways to improve safety, reliability, and ease of diving. But I just dont think its a good idea to have an "autopilot" control certain aspects of diving. It just makes people too complacent - they stop thinking for themselves. To me, its more...
When you get your OW you can go to 130' feet, but you have to get there on your own. So if you have your own boat or means of getting to dive sites then technically no one can stop you from going to 130', or from doing caves, wreck penetrations, etc. But if all you have is your OW then most...
