    Zeagle Ranger

I adjusted the carry strap when hung on the tanks neck to be the right height while putting the BC on the tank. Congratulations on the new BC.

    New To Hunting

Sorry Chad but I think Kevin is right in this. He was probably shooting a SS Commercial with a single band. Not as much power as a multiband. Hitting the dorsal fin it didn't penetrate, just bounced off and the fish took off. This was done to keep from having to kill the shark.

    Help needed, gotta decide fast

They are both good BC's. I like the Ranger. 2 advantages. A- Weight system on Zeagle does not need weight pockets and has a better one handed release. B - The Ranger does not have a backpack. This lets it roll up smaller and lets the tank mount closer to the back. Good luck with...

    Uwatech. Good or bad

I like mine. The new Uwatec's (Tec & prime) has alarms that can be turned off. I wish they would upgrade the smartcoms too. A novice diver might like them but after a while they are a pain. It is downloadable to almost any IR device such as a palm or pocket pc. The software is free too.

    Startup and Yearly Costs

I have found that diving is not any more expensive than other equipment oriented sports such as snow skiing or golf.

    Computer wish list

Audible alarms can be usefull, but I want to be able to turn it off. This is one of the reasons that I am thinking of selling my Uwatec Smart Com and going with a VR-3. Nothing gets a fish out of picture range faster than that damn beep.

    Dive-Alert/Hammerhead

The dive alert may be used to fill the signal sausage. Just push the oral inflator on the sausage into the orifice on the dive alert and hit the button. Make sure the sausage has an over pressure release.:11:

How can my buddy identify me?

At DEMA this year someone had a marking gel in many colors. I do not remember the name.

    Q&A for all scuba Manufacturers

I am sure the reason is that women make up such a small percentage of divers that they would have to charge alot and no one would buy them. If they would sell I know that they would be made and kept in stock.

    New To Hunting

They usually don't bother you much. When they do, shoot it. Power heads work well. http://www.spearfishing.cc/ Try these. If you don't have one, a shaft in the gills works too. Kevin Bruington, owner of Spearfishing Specialties http://www.slinginsteel.com/ told me if one was being a nuisance...

90 FSW - During the checkout dives

The water conditions play a bigger part of the equation than the depth. There is a big difference diving in limited vis, cold water and crystal clear warm water. 90 feet in the Caymans is not that big a deal. 60 feet in New Jersey is. How experienced was the instructor? How were the...

Why does ScubaPro hold out on the US, and are they dropping the G250?

Don't forget the new AIR ll that will be out in 06. They are not shipping yet but I played with one last month. It has different buttons and mouthpiece. Internals are the same I believe.

    Waterproof Logbook?

Scubapro makes a waterproof log book. Waterproof pages too. When I used to use a log book this is the one that I used. Now dives are downloaded from Uwatec to palm and kept in pelican case while near water.

    Good Beginner Dive Computer

I recommend one that your LDS will support if you have a problem. Be sure it is nitrox comparable. Many of the new computers are programmable with software upgrades so you don’t have to buy a new one. Just some things to think about.
