Also if you guys are adding weight (4lbs) do you ad to the cam band or on a belt?

You may not need any, I had on a 3 mil shorty and 6lb SS plate and was overweighted...

ScubaInChicago ain't you afraid that GUE HQ will not allow you into the Cave 1 class and even revoke your GUE-F card on the grounds of you diving with a guy wearing a yellow snorkle ? :rofl3:

If you only need 2-4-6 lbs I'd suggest putting it in a weight belt.

Belts are cheap and universally available.

Almost every body can manage a 6 lbs belt.

Keep in mind that in your 3mm shortie + al 80 cylinder a SS plate and regulator will probably provide all the ballast you need.

When you hang all you ballast on your rig you *may* need a larger wing than you would if some of your ballast is on a belt.

What kind of reg setup do you use? Plenty room to hook octo and reg on harness? Also using a depth gauge only off of primary? Looks pretty stream line in the pic.....

Here's some equipment configurations for both single and double tanks that I generally follow:
Equipment Configuration | Global Underwater Explorers

Most any single regulator will lend itself to sufficient hose routing for a 5' of 7' long hose, a bungee backup on a 22" or 24" hose, a 24" or 26" HP hose for a SPG, and a 22" LP inflater hose.

The divemaster was following us for 90% of the dive....He and the rest of the crew later told us they had never seen divers swim backwards.....all their divers only have a forward gear....:rofl3:
