Here's my setup:

To deploy the pony reg I just reach back with my left hand and pull it free. I have a button SPG and check the pressure before I suit up. I'll eventually get a slightly shorter hose but I had this one on hand. I'm not concerned with passing it off since the pony is for me and me only.

Update

I can no longer recommend the shark bracket for securing a pony bottle and have switched over to the quick draw bracket. The strap on the shark bracket would consistently come loose during boat dives and once the entire pony setup fell off! I found out that I could move my lower cam band to a higher position and now it accommodates the quick draw very well.
