I've been back loads of times since, and it was fine. the point I was trying to make is that even crappy dives with crappy operators are OK, you can still have fun.

Yes agreed, but crappy dives with a good operator can be even more fun.
 
Do those little morays still buzz divers?

Yes, there are still plenty of white eye morays at Shark Point and the Anemone Reef. And then there are tiger-tail sea horses, cuttle fish, frog fish, nudi's, banded sea-kraits, squid, spindle and otther cowries, way too many anemones and clown fish, tons of fish and of-course the mis-named leopard sharks.
