I read that in a fortune cookie once....

I also recall hearing somewhere "it's not the agency, its the instructor..."

Dear BP/W-philes,

What makes you tick?...

I never got laid until I got a bp/w...... Now I get all the chicks.

Kinda like my buddy with his Harley, except he gets a different class of chicks than me.

Latex and leather vs. neoprene and trilam?

Isn't that always the case? In fact, that's kind of what makes trolling tick. For the record, I don't care either way, I can just empathize with those who took issue with the tone of the OP. These threads are gas for the SB engine.

But your thread title called out everyone, and your OP never qualified it otherwise. Is there any question why this wasn't called out as a troll post?

While the original post does strike of trollishness, I have to admit, I agree.

Do you really care? Better question might be What makes a troll tick?

Oh, I dunno. There are a wide variety of trolls. It's almost a disservice to lump them all into one group. :D

That's just page 1. Haven't read any further.

It's funny when someone starts a thread that doesn't praise a bp/w and gets called a troll yet the fanboys/girls who reply to the post in disagreement are not called trolls.

Spanky and the gang always rally to expound on their equipment of choice. Everyone who frequents this site knows that and knows who the gang members are. So much ado over nothing!!!

... Supposedly, it is superior as an emergency gas when used in Spare Air's because anyone who uses it can't help but laugh at the thought of trying to get to the surface on such a small gas supply. ...

I don’t happen to be a proponent of Spare Air, but a blow & go from 130' is not hard at all — if you are in decent shape and not encumbered by a dive shop full of crap. A Spare Air is more than sufficient on unencumbered dives with surface access.

Granted, blow & go is not the sort of thing you want to practice in high seas or to end a deco dive, but well worth working up to as a self rescue skill. Buoyancy-assisted blow & gos have been done from 600' by well trained submarine sailors and divers. High PO2 and expanding gas is your friend. It is a shame they don’t teach this stuff anymore.

:rofl3: I fly. Carry-on limits just aren't what they used to be.

Why carry your BC when you can pack it in the suitcase?

:clapping: I have traveled a similar distance with my travel BC. Customs officers are often impressed that I choose to rent lead locally rather than hauling stainless steel with me. :clapping:

I ain't there for their pleasure.

Harley chicks are usually the types that looked rode hard and put away wet. No thanks.

I'll stick with curb squirrels that I can pick up on my crotch rocket.
