we are on Cayman Brac this year at Brac Beach, brought a small group of 10 down for fun, sun, and diving and we are getting plenty of all three... it has been great.....

and as a PS both tropical systems now in the area have gone away from the Cayman's the seas have been very nice, not smooth, but easily rideable..... even on the Southern sides....

made two dives today at Jackson Bay and my puta said 86 all the way down to 100 feet.... can't get much warmer than this... it is great.... saw a big gray reef shark at Mixing Bowl too......

thanks for the pics, it is so sad, first to see such damage caused by Nature, and even worse the damage cause by Divi Corp. It is like they want to keep the site unused and ugly to 'get back' at Brac for some unknown 'hurt' to them....

Typical government control.... about the only thing I have found that 'any government' agency can do well is with the Military, and they even &*()%# that up as well...

If lionfish are so aggressive and eat all the other little fishes, why are there still 'little fishes' swimming around on the reefs in the Pacific where this little fish normally lives? I have heard this same old scare tactic all my life about one thing or another, and most prove to be nothing...

I remember Red Carpet Airlines well. My first trip to Grand Cayman was on Red Carpet out of St Pete. Seemed to take forever but they had permission to fly over Cuba and that was nice, got to see that Island from the air. Also made a trip to dive Cuba on Red Carpet in the last 70', still ranks...

This is so sad, such a wonderful place. I know they are doing everything they can to get up and running. Looks like I will just have to push my trip there back a couple more months.

I totally agree with the above post, Cayman Brac is a GREAT dive place, plenty of different sites for a month of diving plus you usually get over to Little Cayman at least once in a week to dive those wonderful walls.... Brac Reef Beach Resort would be my first choice, having stayed there...

So true about CDNN being 'sensationalized nonsense', enough said. But, some of us really love just to 'sound off' from time to time and thanks for letting us.... 54 DAYS TO LITTLE CAYMAN... and a few hours....

As a P/S to my own post, I have also known many DM who are really great and work with all skill levels of divers and do a wonderful job 'looking out of everyone'. The best DM for me is one that is there to help me back on the boat, off with my gear, and hands me something cold to drink.... and...

I agree with Dropkick, a lot of DM try to be to 'controlling' of other divers even to the point of being very rude. It is the same problem that I had when I was in the Marines and some 'shavetail LT' with some schooling tried to boss around the older, much more experienced 'old salts' just...
