Is this utter heresy?
I have an Oxycheq BP/W and I'm thinking about getting an AirDuo II or Air2. I would assume compatibility...anybody have any experience with this?
no real reason it wouldn't work. Air2's are best available for you locally at Air Tech in Raleigh and they'd be able to install it.
DGX Gears BCD Regulator
that will be cheap and easy to install as well.
Question I have, is why do you think it will be an advantage for you over a traditional primary donate setup with a secondary on a necklace
It should be fine.
But I won't use it for one reason:
I don't know how to get the spare parts as well as servicing it personally.
Make sure you like breathing from it because in emergency it is the one that goes into your mouth. Practice how to deflate/inflate the bc while breathing from it and also with an out of air diver on your primary 2nd stage at the same time.
Without getting too deep into the combined vs separate debate, I like the idea of having fewer hoses and a simpler setup. .
It is one fewer hose, but it is NOT simpler in use.
To each his own. It will work with a BP/W as long as the corrugated inflator hose is long enough to comfortably support breathing off it.
